I Like To Sew… And I Blog About It

Something really amazing happened at SXSWPost-It Idea HQ made a professional “pitch video” for my blog!  It was a total surprise and definitely the cherry on the top of a very inspiring week.  Those of you following my Facebook and Twitter pages may have seen this already, but here is the final video again.

This, to me, is the epitome of what SXSW Interactive is all about…  Celebrating, promoting, and supporting start-ups in all their varied forms.  Even my sewing blog!  When I first wandered by the recording booth in the Trade Show, the Post-It Idea HQ producer encouraged me to apply despite my self-inflicted limitation that, “I just write a sewing blog.”  It was like the Universe smacked me on the backside of the head yelling, “Say YES to opportunity!”  I’m so glad that I did and I’m glad that I’m included in a wonderful showcase of fellow entrepreneurs.

I’m so excited that I now have a personal commercial I can share with anyone and everyone!  It makes me feel more professional, like I’ve graduated to a new level in my personal pursuits.  This experience combined with all of the other inspiration and advice I received during my exhausting week at SXSW has totally invigorated me.  I feel a new clarity about what I want to do with the creative content that I produce and it feels REALLY FUN again!  It was fun before, but this was like drinking a case of Red Bull.  I got wings, yes I do!
